We are seeking for an RACF Administrator to support a critical child welfare agency. The RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) administrator is a senior-level technical specialist who protects an organization's data and system resources. They use their advanced technical knowledge to support RACF and related software products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify and secure sensitive data.
Define and manage administrative structures and user roles.
Assign and manage user IDs and passwords.
Oversee RACF security measures and policies.
Create and manage RACF groups and user profiles.
Implement access controls based on the principle of least privilege.
Monitor and audit security-related activities.
Develop and maintain security documentation, security applications, and batch jobs.
Keeping security CLIST entries up to date
Required Skills:
In-depth technical knowledge of RACF and related software.
Proven experience in data protection and security management.
Experience in creating and managing RACF groups and profiles and managing user IDs and passwords.
Expertise in creating RACF groups and profiles
Understanding of the least privilege access concept.
Experience in setting up and managing dataset profiles
Proven knowledge and experience in utilizing IMS Db
Proficiency in auditing security-relevant activities
Experience in maintaining security applications and batch jobs
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in a similar senior-level security administration role
Relevant certifications in security administration and RACF.
Experience in handling complex IT tasks and project coordination.
Proficiency with IBM z/OS operating system
Experience with TSO (Time Sharing Option), including ISPF and SDSF
Knowledge of COBOL II programming language.
Expertise in JCL (IBM's Job Command Language)
Proficiency with CICS (IBM's Customer Information and Control System)
Experience with BMS Maps or similar mainframe screen-building applications.
Knowledge of DB2 (including SPUFI or QMF)
Experience with IBM File Manager and File Manager for DB2 or similar products.
Proficiency with SCLM (Source Code Library Manager) or similar software.
Familiarity with Fault Analyzer and debugging software
Familiarity with IBM system logs and their management.
Ability to set up specific access to CICS transactions, MVS data sets, TSO, and DB2
Proficiency in revoking access to user IDs when necessary.
Experience in creating and managing security groups, resource profiles, and dataset profiles based on least privilege principles.
Experience with mainframe product installations, upgrades, software patches, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
