The System Administrator is responsible for installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, hardware and software and related infrastructure. Systems Administrators ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures are running at peak performance.
Technologies, applications and systems including Microsoft Technologies including Active Directory and Office 365, Cisco Technologies, MS Exchange and Outlook, Software and Remote Management tools, Anti-Virus, Security Best Practices, Laptops-Desktops and Servers, Networking
Daily administration and support for cloud based systems, local infrastructure and servers as well as remote device management
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of backups
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Create, change, and delete user accounts per request, provide remote support to end users/customers during off hours.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related technical discipline
5+ years of professional experience including systems administration and support
