We are seeking a Software Test Engineer with expertise in manual and automated testing to join our dynamic IT team in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation tools like UiPath, proficiency in Oracle SQL and MongoDB, and the ability to manage testing processes within Azure DevOps.
This role requires exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Candidates for this role must be local to Glen Allen, VA and comfortable working in a hybrid work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute manual and automated software testing, ensuring that all critical functionality is tested thoroughly.
Develop, maintain, and execute test scriptsfor both new and existing applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Utilize UiPath to automate key test processes, improving efficiency and accuracy in testing.
Manage and monitor test plans, defects, and execution cycles within Azure DevOps.
Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and UAT Leads to ensure smooth project delivery and test process improvement.
Work in both relational (Oracle SQL) and non-relational (MongoDB)database environments, performing queries and ensuring data integrity during testing.
Participate in the transition from Waterfall to Agile methodologies, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
Expertise in manual and automated software testing, including developing and executing test scripts.
Strong proficiency in UiPath for automation testing.
Experience working with Oracle SQL and MongoDB in both relational and non-relational database environments.
Hands-on experience managing test plans in Azure DevOps.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and departments.
