This Multi-Site Exec. Asst. Director position is best for someone with experience overseeing, growing, and supervising multiple centers. It is ideal for someone seeking flexible, meaningful work that leaves the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

The Assistant Executive Director must have:

-at least five successful years growing centers, hiring and developing staff

-experience with Creative Curriculum, Reggio or another experiential curricula

-skills to support directors' professional growth

-superior organizational skills to maintain calendars for systems that ensure high levels of learning and parent interaction including QRSI, licensing, and department of Education requirements

In this role, expect to:
  • Strategize with the company's CEO
  • Visit Oak Tree Learning Centers
  • Identification and mentorship of others
  • Support all directors to ensure proper operations
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of accreditation systems and criteria, particularly the school's curriculum and parent engagement programs
  • Develop and manage affiliate strategy in key markets.
  • Maintain expert level knowledge on QRIS systems in all states we operate in, as well as licensing criteria related to education and development.
  • Support UPK initiatives, anticipating and responding to requirements and ensuring program compliance.
  • Support state specific priorities and projects.
  • Actively engage in national ECE quality initiatives and identify opportunities for BH engagement or alignment.
  • Build and sustain internal and external partnerships.
  • Contribute to company ECE policy engagement efforts.
  • Support Oak Tree programs and contribute to training.
  • Support special projects and initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of educational trends and research and integrate this knowledge into work.

The following is a list of ideal attributes of this role:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, master's preferred.
  • More than 5 years of ECE teaching and some experience in operations and supervision supporting program quality efforts.
  • Strong background in early childhood pedagogy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; excellent organizational skills, including developing systems. Proven ability to collect and analyze data.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Bilingual is a plus
  • Must be an effective and proven project manager. Must be willing to travel.

Qualifications we seek:
  • You must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations is essential, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Previous experience in a licensed childcare center or a comparable group childcare program for at least six months is preferred.
  • Completion of 16 hours of health and safety training showcases your dedication to maintaining high standards of care.
