We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor for our FW Farms facility location in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will work collaboratively with Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse and Production personnel to ensure timely execution of the company operations while ensuring uncompromised food safety compliance. Ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with USDA (U.S. Department of Ag), SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points), FDA (Food & Drug Administration), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), all safety policies and procedures, and any other established policies and requirements necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supports Food Safety and Quality Assurance department in daily tasks.
• Trains and develops associates as necessary including but not limited to development, food safety, GMP's, etc.
• Ensure raw, commodities, finished product and micro environmental samples are collected in a timely manner according to company policy and reports discrepancies and violations to the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Director immediately.
• Enters food safety and quality data accurately and efficiently into computer databases.
• Maintains records of micro environmental sampling, raw, commodities and finished goods testing and reports and communicates out of specification results and documents corrective actions.
• Evaluates raw and finished product for defects and non-conformance to quality standards; accurately completes and submits supporting documentation; reports discrepancies and violations to the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Director or other leaders immediately and documents corrective actions.
• Submits samples electronically or manually to the 3rd party lab if necessary.
• Assists with microbiological testing of new products, technologies, etc.
• Ensures GMP's and standard operating procedures (SOP's) are being followed.
• Acts as a backup for Food Safety Quality Assurance technicians.
• Communicates and interacts with manufacturing line employees on a regular basis.
• Maintains open lines of communication and positive working relationships with manufacturing staff.
• Sets a positive example by following all safety and GMP requirements at all times.
• Performs Routine Sanitation monitoring work including but not limited to area assessment, organization, and auditing
• Adheres to all company GMP's and follows company directives on regulatory, product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee and environmental standards.
• Assemble and disassemble assigned equipment in a safe manner.
• Effectively communicates with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance and QA, focusing on overseeing effective and timely sanitation of specific areas within the food processing environment.
• Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of sanitation equipment to include documentation and preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for the effective utilization of employees, housekeeping, safety, utilization of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
• Contributes to a successful food safety culture by following the established guidelines as outlined in the company Food Safety Policy
• Follows all Company food safety protocols without fail.
• Performs tasks in a manner that protects and promotes food safety.
• Cooperates with managers and other leaders to ensure all Company legal and ethical requirements are met.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Ability to effectively and efficiently collaborate, communicate, and guide team members.
• Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Strong sense of urgency
• Ability to work PM and AM shifts, weekend and holiday hours, as needed.
• Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary to perform duties assigned.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, production processes and quality control
• Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including uses.
• Basic levels of sanitation equipment and practices
• Knowledge of various chemicals used in the sanitation process.
• Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others.
• Active Listening. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Ability to effectively communicate to convey information to others.
• Coordination. Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions
• Ability to review, interpret, and understand written and verbal work-related documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and procedure manuals.
• Monitoring. Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
• Ability to work alone safely to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to perform physical demands of the role including, but not limited to, ascending, descending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, feeling, grasping, etc.
• Must be able and willing to perform physical tasks including, but not limited to, medium work(exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects), lifting (raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles), and repetitive motions (substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers).

Environmental Contributors:
• Inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
• Extreme cold: Temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
• Noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
• Vibration: Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or the whole body.
• Hazard: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
• Atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
• Humidity: Exposure to humid conditions ranging from 70 to 92 percents.
