Job Description:
The Customs Entry Writer will manage customs operations to ensure goods flow smoothly across international borders. This includes preparing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any customs-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review customs documentation, including import/export declarations.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements.
Collaborate with clients, customs brokers, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
Track and monitor customs clearances, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
Provide guidance and support to team members on customs-related matters.
Assist in the development and implementation of customs compliance policies.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage.
Experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain industries preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred (reflects commitment and achievement).
Proficiency in CargoWise software is required.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, terminology, and processes.
