Job Title: Onsite Field Service Engineer Data Centre

Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated Onsite Field Service Engineer FSE specializing in Data Centre DC Hands and Feet support to join our team The primary responsibility of the Onsite FSE will be to provide hands on technical support and assistance for routine maintenance troubleshooting and equipment installations within the data centre environment The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills experience working in data centres and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as hardware replacement cable management and equipment rack installations in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting assistance for data centre infrastructure components including servers storage devices networking equipment and power distribution units PDUs.

Assist with equipment installations relocations and decommissioning activities as directed by senior engineers or project managers.

Coordinate with onsite and remote teams to execute planned maintenance activities and respond to urgent service requests or incidents.

Document activities observations and procedures accurately and thoroughly in accordance with company standards and guidelines.

Adhere to data centre access and security protocols including badge access escort requirements and equipment handling procedures.

Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment within the data centre facility including equipment rooms workspaces and access areas.

Collaborate with vendors contractors and other third party service providers as needed to support data centre operations and projects.

Provide excellent customer service and communication to internal stakeholders including data centre managers IT teams and end users.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent additional technical certifications or training preferred.

years of experience working in data centre environments preferably in a hands-on technical support role.

Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure components including servers storage systems networking devices and power distribution systems.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools for equipment installation maintenance and repair.

Familiarity with data centre operations best practices and industry standards such as ANSITIA942 and Uptime Institute Tier Classification.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment with a focus on delivering high quality service and support.

Excellent problem-solving troubleshooting and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers colleagues and vendors.

Flexibility to work nonstandard hours including evenings weekends and holidays as needed for scheduled maintenance or emergency response.
