Job Description:
Role: SQL DeveloperLocation: Torrance, CADuration: 12+ monthsContract Type: W2 only NO Corp to Corp applicantsDuties include:
- Designing and streamlining our data operations and maintaining our database to ensure peak performance.
- Understanding business strategy and cascades business intelligence needs to the database level.
- Database tables design based transactional and analytical requirements
- Create complex queries
- Trouble shoot production issues affecting database issues, performance issues, and answer/investigate data issues
- Create/Maintain/Deploy SSIS packages
- Application Development and Production Support for multiple large projects
- Research and resolve production issues, troubleshooting of Mid-Tier MS SQL Server on-line and batch abends
- Evaluate the daily and monthly batch process to improve performance and shorten the critical path window
- Perform Impact Analysis across multiple platforms and applications
- Deliver complete documentation for estimates, design and development
- On-call for production support during off-office hours (night and weekend) may be required.
- Create and execute SQL statements and perform complex data analysis
- Create/Modify SQL Server code/packages including SSIS/Stored Procedures/Handle error conditions
Academic/Experience/Competency Requirements:
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience as SQL Developer
- Proficient with columnar databases and distributed SQL Query engine
- Database development experience using T-SQL, creating/updating stored procedures/creating/updating SQL Functions & Triggers
- Experience working with SQL XML on SQL Server 2019 or higher
- Experience working on Sql Server 2019 or higher
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
- Experience with full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile
- Data analytical skills and ability to analyze large datasets is required.
- Advanced ability to utilize Sql traces and debugging tools for problem/issue resolution
- Advanced ability to analyze and model business functions, processes and information flow within or between systems
- Hands on experience working with SQL XML on SQL Server 2008 r2 or higher
- Hands on experience creating/updating/deploying SSIS packages
- Excellent analytical skills to understand the requirements and designing appropriate database schemas.
