POSITION OVERVIEW

Barclay Group is seeking a Development Coordinator to join its growing team. The Development Coordinator will work to support projects across the western United States. In this role, the Development Coordinator will be exposed to and involved in all aspects of the commercial development process. Barclay Group is offering this position to someone who is eager to learn and excited to join a growing team.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of Tenant related predevelopment, or existing project when applicable, design and construction activities with the following defined job responsibilities:

LEASE ADMINISTRATION
  • Track critical dates and Landlord delivery obligations
  • Schedule and distribute Official Notices (Delivery, Turnover, Default, etc.)
  • Facilitate Pre-Construction Meetings with Tenant
  • Distribute Landlord shell and site plans for Tenants' use
  • Track "Tenant Approval Packages" (elevations, building and site layout, hardscape/landscape, etc.)
  • Liaison to Tenants' Design/Planning counterparts

PLANNING/CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
  • Facilitate Pad turnovers
  • Facilitate Pre-Construction Meetings with Tenants and property management
  • Address any field coordination issues
  • Monitor and track Tenant permitting and Construction activity
  • Track tenant progress regarding permits and utility companies
  • Review existing plans and coordinate with new tenants

SIGNAGE ADMINISTRATION
  • Distribute Sign Plans and process Tenant sign submittals
  • Review and process Tenant signage in accordance with property guidelines
  • Coordinate and maintain Site Signage Programs

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Team player and desire to take ownership of the position
  • Works well with the occasional stress of managing multiple tasks and demands
  • Capable of maintaining a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times
  • Able to learn new tasks quickly
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent grammar as well as organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Highly effective at multi-tasking and quickly prioritizing in a fast-paced and professional work environment
  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
