We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Process Engineer to join our team in Kansas City, MO. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing assembly processes while playing a key role in internal product launches. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in assembly process engineering, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and effective communication across teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead and optimize assembly line processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Work closely with the quality and production teams, spending 95% of the time on the shop floor.
Support product launches, including limited travel for truck launches and pre-builds.
Create and maintain detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with corporate teams and customers, often across different regions.
Drive continuous improvement (CI) and cost-saving initiatives, presenting solutions to management.
Conduct time studies and implement rebalancing efforts to optimize production.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree highly preferred (Industrial Engineering background is a plus), though candidates with significant experience will be considered.
Minimum of 2+ years of assembly process engineering experience and PFMEA
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse teams and departments.
Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and solve recurring production issues.
