Job Description

Inter-Con is currently hiring a Director of Procurement reporting to the Chief Information Officer. The Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing against the company's procurement strategy within the confinements of the team and budget. The director is accountable for ensuring contracts are properly outfitted with all uniform and equipment required. In addition, the director is responsible for managing all aspects of vendor relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, from sourcing and procurement to distribution and delivery, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of uniforms and equipment.
  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing costs and ensuring product availability.
  • Logistics Optimization: Optimize logistics flows, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Operations: Push to continuous improvement and drive to creative changes that will improve efficiencies and costs.
  • Client Relations: Ensure client statisfaction with uniforms and equipment while managing smooth transitions for onboarding new clients.

Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA a definite plus
  • International experience preferred
  • Understand operational KPIs and ability to utilize data to drive operations
  • Have strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively communicate and coordinate with all stakeholders: Client representatives, Inter?Con employees, staff members, senior and executive management, and law enforcement officers.
  • Possess computer skills sufficient to independently develop reports, standard operating procedures, spreadsheets, diagrams, charts, graphs, and other products that may be needed. (e.g. - MS Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Vision)
  • Possess writing skills sufficient to independently draft reports, standard operating procedures, assessments, or other documents consistent with physical security operations
  • Have the ability to multi-task and work effectively under the pressure of multiple deadlines
  • Minimum of four (4) years of law enforcement, military, or senior operations experience in a management capacity or ten (10) years of experience in organizational management

Other requirements or competencies:
  • P&L reviews and cost center analysis
  • Monitoring financial variances; identifying trends; and implementing actions to improve performance
  • Proven experience driving goals, executing projects and problem solving
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong computer/Internet experience and ability to learn and adopt new technology
