Job Description:

The Center for Racial Equity in Education (CREED) is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to support the Director of Programming and help facilitate and develop the organization's programming initiatives. The Program Coordinator will help ensure that CREED's programs run smoothly, efficiently, and on budget, and will design curricula for educational programming. We are looking for a candidate who can help us stay on budget while simultaneously providing engaging, informative, and interesting programs for community members and partners.

CREED is a North Carolina-based nonprofit organization committed to creating more equitable educational spaces and education opportunities for black and brown students in North Carolina public schools.   • Able to travel across North Carolina to deliver CREED programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Programming with the development, planning, and execution of the organization's many programs.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and activities including annual and quarterly convenings as they relate to the organization's programming initiatives.
  • Implement key grant-funded programs that align with CREED's mission, vision, and goals as an organization.
  • Create program materials and ensure that programs achieve stated objectives and are within budget.
  • Co-design and facilitate workshops and trainings for adult learners including educators and equity stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage a client relationship management (CRM) system or another system to organize information and facilitate outreach communications and efforts.
  • Work with partner organizations on special events that publicize CREED and its programs to the community.
  • Assist with CREED's outreach efforts in the community.

Details of the Role

  • This is a part-time position requiring 20-25 hours of work per week. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required. The rate of pay for this position is $25 per hour.
  • This is a hybrid position that requires occasional in-person attendance at events and travel (up to 30% of the time).

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in nonprofit program management, program coordination, or program curriculum development.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Education or Social Sciences.
  • Outgoing personality and ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Comfort with digital communication and remote work is preferred.
  • Mobility and willingness to travel throughout the State of North Carolina.
