Apex Systems is seeking a Lab Technician for chemical manufacturing client located in Fort Mill, SC. Candidates must be willing to work 12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT on TWO ON/TWO OFF basis, including every other weekend.
Candidates must be able to sit on Apex Systems' W2. We cannot work Corp-to-Corp for this position.
Pay Range: 20-23/hr.
Contract position (extension/conversion based upon performance)
100% Onsite
8:30 pm - 8:30 am shift schedule with 2 days on/2 days off and will work every other weekend
Job Responsibilities: • Prepare standards and solutions for analysis • Analyze samples including raw material, in-process, and final product • Report results to production and record data • Calibrate and maintain labequipment • Prepares COA (Certificate of Analysis) for customer shipments • Work closely with production, supervisors, and engineers
Qualifications: • 1+ yrs. Lab experience • High School Diploma (Degree in science field not required but a Plus) • Able to work 12 hr. shift, NIGHTS (8:30pm- 8:30am) 2 on, 2 off and every other weekend • Able to work independently • Flexible and willing to work overtime when needed • Good housekeeping ethics • Good chemical hygiene
Skills and knowledge: • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office), spreadsheets • Experience with GC (Gas chromatography) and LC (Liquid chromatography) • Familiar with ChemStation software • Wet Chemistry (pH, conductivity, titrations (manual and automatic), solids, etc.) • TOC, VOC, Viscosity • UV-Vis, IR or ICP experience a plus • Familiar with ISO9001 standard
