We are on the lookout for an experienced and driven Data Governance Lead to spearhead our organization's data governance initiative. The selected candidate will play a major role in designing and implementing robust data governance frameworks and standards, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of our data across the entire organization. This position presents a unique opportunity to drive data governance strategies, raise organizational awareness of best practices, and foster a culture of data stewardship.
Location: Must be local to Houston willing to work in office 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance program. • Work closely with key stakeholders to gather requirements for technological solution requests. • Analyze complex business problems and articulate how data solutions can help resolve them. • Establish and streamline data governance procedures and policies. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity. • Promote the understanding and adoption of data governance across the organization. • Identify areas of improvement in data quality, data lifecycle management, and privacy standards. • Monitor compliance with data governance policies, and prepare reports on key metrics • Provide training, support, and guidance to stakeholders on data governance processes and tools.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field. • At least five years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role. • Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing data governance frameworks. • Strong knowledge of industry tools and technologies like SQL, Informatica, Collibra, Alation, etc. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. • Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality.
