Insight Global is seeking a mid-level drafter to join one of our aviation engineering clients in support of the US Navy. This is a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity. This position requires 100% on-site work in Jacksonville, FL and standard work hours are M-F 9am-3pm EST. Qualified candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance if required by the program they support.
Day to Day:
Work closely with an assigned Engineer to figure out which tasks and projects require attention
Create new drawings and/or work on ECNs (engineer change notices)
Work within Solidworks PDM to sign drawings out to work on them
Submit all work through the checking process
Review changes/edits that are flagged during the checking process
Must Haves:
3+ years of professional experience with SolidWorks 3D
3+ years of experience working with AutoCAD 2D
High School diploma and 4+ years of experience as a drafter OR Associate Degree and 2+ years of experience as a drafter
Plusses:
SolidWorks PDM experience is highly preferred!
Working knowledge of ASME Codes and Standards
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
