Your role at Clorox:

Responsible for managerial leadership to enable environmental compliance and sustainable processes at manufacturing sites and other assigned Clorox sites. Provide Corporate E&S managerial leadership "Training and Technical Process Support" that will enable E&S results of Company's goals and objectives.

In this role, you will:

Provide leadership, training and mentorship on environment and sustainability related activities and/or issues to individual plant environmental leads to drive successful delivery of environmental compliance requirements and sustainability initiatives.
  • Communicate deliverables related to environmental compliance and sustainability opportunities and results to HSE and business leadership
  • Assist as needed in the development and training of assigned plant E&S leads, ensuring they have the environmental compliance and standards knowledge and ability to provide day- to-day leadership to their sites, and providing consistency in program implementation across Clorox.
  • When conducting audits, identify gaps to identify site training needs and corrective actions to ensure compliance, and work with the site to handle corrective actions to completion, including determination of adequacy.
  • Conduct on-site E&S audits of manufacturing facilities; observe activities and communicate out of compliance behaviors or conditions, uncovering causes, and taking action to ensure compliance.
  • Through site visits, identify training needs, training plant leads regarding any technical issues, new regulatory requirements, recordkeeping documentation requirements, etc. to support compliance activities.
  • Support sites in management of TRACS (HSE data systems), to include troubleshooting any issues and assisting site leads with any training or issues they encounter as they handle compliance activities and maintaining up-to-date compliance actions in our company-wide EMS.
  • Provide technical support, training and leadership to site leads for the following deliverables: Applicable levels of regulatory agencies; TRACS system leadership and management and Support the E&S audit process.
  • Drive adherence to corporate E&S standards and legislative regulatory compliance across the company, working directly with site E&S leads, project managers and site and business leadership.
  • Lead assigned internal Environmental Audits and assist with facilitation of external audits.
  • Support updates or new standards that become vital due to either new/modified regulatory legislation or implementation of best practice work.
  • Handle relationships and negotiate service agreements with outside vendors.
  • Support and mentor ECs in each of the main compliance areas (air, waste, wastewater, stormwater, EPCRA, Spill Response)
  • Support sites with written plans, correspondences and reports to regulatory agencies including TRI, Tier II, SPCC, SWP3, etc.
  • Assist plants as needed with data collection and analysis for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support environmental target criteria on project teams.
  • Serve as owner for E&S SharePoint site and company-wide compliance document retention.
  • Support senior environmental resources, as needed, on projects related to air compliance, water stewardship, energy reduction and property acquisitions and closures.
  • Travel required - normal travel up to 30% for site visits, audits & project work. First year travel may reach 50% or more during training.

What we look for:
  • Leadership and influence with a proven track record to work collaboratively in partnership to deliver total results.
  • Technical knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance requirements - including in-depth understanding of air, waste management, stormwater, industrial wastewater and EPCRA programs
  • Experienced in negotiations with EPA and/or State regulatory authorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Validated performance in a position of direct leadership for environmental compliance deliverables (3 plus years' experience)
  • Validated environmental leadership with direct accountability for regulatory management (minimally 5 years)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes with 2 plus years direct experience.

Hybrid three days a week in office, two days week from home.

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

-Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

-Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

-Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600
