JOB SUMMARY:

  • We're looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and collaborative Project Manager and Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with the ability to lead the development of both small and large facility design and construction projects at new or existing company sites both within the US and worldwide. In this role, you'll will work closely with internal customers and multiple stakeholders to manage, design, and build owned and leased facilities. You will also serve as a subject matter expert with deep technical skills in facilities and workplace strategies. You will also have the opportunity to lead facilities-related internal processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work schedule: Onsite, 7:30 am-4 pm CST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide concurrent facilities project leadership for multiple geographically diverse and high complexity facilities projects in a dynamic environment including large scope projects of $10M and more in value.
  • Lead facilities project management activities including cost estimating; managing communications; and controlling scope, budget, schedule, and risk within defined project parameters.
  • Provide both project management and technical support for office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Manage internal processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership with the construction industry and enterprise standards, policies, and practices for safety, accounting, purchasing, schedule, quality, cost, and regulatory compliance.
  • Be an internal expert in facilities mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between Business Units, Real Estate, Office Services, Maintenance, Risk Management, Purchasing, EHS, and other internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage project-based relationships with internal customers, suppliers, consultants, and government entities or regulatory agencies in the development of projects.
  • Clearly communicate facility processes and requirements to occupants, internal customers, suppliers, consultants, and governmental entities/regulatory agencies.
  • Manage project capital and expense budgets and align to Company accounting requirements.
  • Provide best value project budget planning and control considering facility quality, lifecycle costs, and operations aligned with internal customer and business needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Accredited mechanical or electrical engineering degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Accredited Engineering Bachelors' or 2-year Engineering Technology degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated expert level project management skills.
  • International experience with high complexity facilities projects.
  • Experience defining and managing scope.
  • Expertise in construction contract negotiation and supplier development strategies.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project software.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrates collaboration and interpersonal skills to build and manage strong relationships.
  • Ability to communicate inclusively, effectively, and concisely with a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Experience communicating project progress to internal customers and Company leadership.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience with utilizing and refining internal processes to facilitate sound decision-making and impactful results.
