Job Description:

• Conduct initial application review and quality assurance.
• Order and monitor the receipt of all vendor and third-party products.
• Collaborate with the title company to resolve any title issues as needed.
• Review applications and recommend underwriting waivers and exceptions.
• Maintain a basic understanding of Fannie Mae guidelines and standard income calculations (e.g., wage earners, self-employed, and rental income).
• Evaluate applicants' creditworthiness and debt-to-income ratios based on credit reports.
• Coordinate closings with the title company.
• Partner with the internal Treasury Team to manage wire transactions.
• Collaborate with external custodians to transmit collateral documents and data.
• Capture data in the system as required.
• Verify the completeness of applicant documentation.
• Manage and resolve all tasks and conditions related to the processing stage.
• Promptly advance option files to the underwriting stage.
• Assist in the development, testing, and documentation of new workflows and procedures.
• Engage with various company functions, demonstrating the ability to negotiate in the best interest of stakeholders.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the HEI or mortgage industry.
• Preferred experience in mortgage loan processing and closing.
• Prior HEI experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Technologically proficient with experience in Salesforce, DocuSign, and other relevant systems.
