Manager, Software Engineering
The Manager of Software Engineering leads the analysis, design, and delivery of features and functions for all products and services. Product robustness, support escalation resolution, product innovation, process innovation, and staff growth, are all metrics for this position.
Delivery of Commitments
Manages efforts across multiple development teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time and minimize integration risks
Works with the Product Managers to manage prioritization and resource allocation
Works with Development Leads, Product Owners and the Product Managers to determine implementation strategies, time estimates and delivery commitments
Assists QA, L3 and other departments with escalated technical issues where relevant
Technical Implementation
Leads multiple teams of developers
Responsible for the architectural direction and decisions of applicable products and services
Oversees the UI/UX design/direction, while attempting to satisfy market requirements as defined by Product Management
Responsible for product security of applicable products and service, as well as serving as a subject matter expert on security across the entire product portfolio
Ensures that "proofs of concept" will meet assessment requirements to support business or technical decision making
Ensures that products meet scalability, usability, security, business needs and other requirements
Leads the adoption of best-in-class software engineering practices, tools and frameworks
Leads in the monitoring of developer deliverables for code quality and adherence to styles and standards
Manager, Software Engineering - Requirements
BA or higher in computer science, information systems, or related field
Previous working experience as a software engineering manager
Familiarity using Git & Jira
Experience with machine learning (computer vision) and AWS
