Job Description:

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for a Facility Management Specialist to work at our various clinic locations in support of the VA Regional Offices.

Job Summary:

This position will provide mission critical support to the MDE Program Manager by expanding the company's options for providing Medical Disability Examinations using Loyal Source providers and staff in locations outside the coverage area of established Loyal Healthcare Clinics. The Facility Management Specialist will research, coordinate, establish, and maintain partnerships with property owners/managers in remote and geographically isolated areas within an assigned Veterans Administration (VA) Region. The Logistics Specialist must communicate with peers and leaders across multiple workstreams, including MDE Network Management, Property Management Specialist, Clinic Operations, Compliance Manager, Information Technology (IT), and Accounting to ensure all efforts remain synchronized with customer demand and current staffing levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and overseeing contracts and service providers for cleaning, parking, security, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Compliance Manager and Property Management Specialist to ensure that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.
  • Oversee any renovations, refurbishments, and building projects with assistance from clinic managers and supervisors.
  • Travel throughout the region to assist with the set-up of new clinics and for relocation.
  • Perform routine maintenance on facilities and make repairs as needed.
  • Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, and parking lots.
  • Oversee custodial functions.
  • Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.

Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of procurement and negotiation processes.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Competent writing and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are required, including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proven success in working in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel with reasonable advanced notice for periods of up to one week, up to 60% of the time.
  • Experience with Commercial property or Healthcare Clinic operations.

  • Competent in the use of mapping software to the degree necessary to research potential clinic or event locations, develop travel plans, and estimate coverage areas and customer commuting distances.
  • All candidates must be physically able to perform all strenuous duties entailed in this position.
  • This individual will be able to occasionally exert themselves for short periods of time. These physical demands may include but are not limited to lifting and carrying supplies, moving equipment weighing up to 45 pounds, using tools to assemble furniture or equipment, and bending over to perform certain duties.
  • This individual must be able to maneuver throughout small hallways and multiple flights of stairs, either in response to emergencies or to conduct daily responsibilities.
  • This individual will be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • This individual will be able to traverse distances up to and including 150 yards over uneven dirt grounds.
  • Candidates will possess the ability to work irregular hours, or regular hours based on different time zones, as directed by management.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BA/BS in related field is required or 5-10 years in a related position.
