The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a CNC machinist and managing both a production facility and a team. A person who understands the entire mfg process from the design of the part to choosing proper tooling and writing the machining process to produce the part. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes. The candidate will also have an ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees. Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee plant operations such as process engineering, purchasing, expediting, planning and production scheduling
Analyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvements
Examine processes and design plans to effectively use available resources
Qualifications
Prior CNC machining experience, 5 years or more
Bachelor's or AS degree in Engineering or relevant field or equivalent journeyman level experience
6+ years of experience in field
Experience in plant management and manufacturing operations Strong communication, management and supervisory skills
