Harvard Club of Boston, a renowned private city club offering an exclusive, high-end experience, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, including our beverage department, ensuring our members receive the luxury service they expect and deserve. This position primarily involves evening shifts, with some flexibility for occasional mornings, depending on the club's business needs.
Key Responsibilities and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of food and beverage cost control and operational procedures.
Assist in marketing and promotional efforts to enhance dining and beverage experiences.
Expertise in wine, spirits, and bar operations.
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems.
Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills with a polished, professional appearance.
Support staff training to ensure a consistent high-end member experience.
Collaborate effectively across all departments and ensure smooth communication at all levels.
Hands-on support of the club's dining services, daily F&B operations, and food and beverage production.
Help to manage and inspire a dedicated team of bartenders, barbacks, and service staff.
Oversee restaurant and banquet functions with a keen attention to detail and member satisfaction.
Maintain a strong, visible presence, engaging directly with our members to uphold the club's renowned hospitality and ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to luxury service.
Multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring seamless shift operations.
