Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer and the Head of Acquisitions, this individual will be charged with developing, maintaining, and fostering relationships with capital partners to ensure a steady pool of capital availability for the firm's multifamily acquisition and development strategy.

Key Responsibilities include:

Capital Placement:
  • This individual will assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies to raise capital for the firm's multifamily acquisitions and development strategy, ensuring alignment with the firm's overall goals and vision.
  • He/she will work with an established group of relationships including institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, based on the strategic needs of each investment.
  • This individual will maintain strong relationships with prospective investors, which is the key responsibility, focusing on building trust and ensuring mutual alignment on investment objectives.
  • In addition, he/she will partner closely with the deal team to craft compelling presentations and pitch materials that effectively communicate the unique value proposition and strategic benefits of the investment opportunities.

The Candidate

Investor Relations:
  • This individual will also serve as the primary point of contact for all investor communications, ensuring that investor inquiries, concerns, and requests are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • He/she will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic communication plan that keeps existing and prospective investors informed and engaged, ensuring transparency and consistency in messaging.
  • Organizing and managing investor events, such as annual meetings, webinars, and site visits, will be a central function to enhance investor relations and provide regular updates on the firm's activities and investment performance.
  • This individual will ensure that all investment reports, performance updates, and market insights are prepared in a timely manner and communicated effectively to investors.
  • Working cross-functionally with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, this individual will ensure that all investor-related matters are handled in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Additionally, he/she will gather and analyze investor feedback to refine communication strategies, enhance investor satisfaction, and continually improve the firm's investor relations efforts

Skills and Competencies

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of capital raising and investor relations experience
  • Proven track record of raising capital in the real estate industry
  • Deep understanding of real estate investments and ability to research and analyze market trends
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex topics in a clear way
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse investor base
  • MBA or advanced study in finance or real estate
  • Experience managing the capital raising process for a multifamily owner/operator or developer

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA is preferred.
