The Opportunity
We are currently hiring an experienced Senior Financial Planner to manage prospective client's engagement with the firm, onboard new clients coming to the firm, lead, develop and mentor a client-facing team, and impact the growth of the firm as part of the client-facing organization. Extensive experience with tax, legal, investments, insurance (life, DI, LTC, P&C), cash flow, and private investments/real estate for business owners and entrepreneurs, preferably early stage or serial entrepreneurs, will be required in this role. We cannot make exceptions around experience for this hire.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, accounting, finance, economics
Advanced degree or additional certifications required; at least one, if not more (CFP, CFA, MBA, ChFC, CPA, EA, JD/LLM)
Minimum of 10 years of progressive client-facing experience in investment management, wealth management or financial planning
Excellent knowledge of regulations, financial planning and investment management, be enthusiastic about financial planning; strive to always be better and learn more
Extensive experience working with business owners and early stage or serial entrepreneurs required, understand tax and financial planning strategies to create leverage and financial value
Ability to manage complex client projects, with a thoughtful and diligent process (project management)
Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements
Build and lead small teams (4-5) to support and retain a group of High and Ultra High Network Clients (people management)
Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with eMoney, Holistaplan, Redtail or similar software
Experience working with Schwab as custodian preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to interact effectively with the team
Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
Be able to meet deadlines and deal with the stress of ambitious entrepreneurial clients
