Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Food and Beverage at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, TX. The Director will oversee all food and beverage operations, including an Assistant Director of F&B, Two hourly Managers, FOH menu planning, food & beverage service, budgeting, and ensuring customer satisfaction on a day-to-day basis. The ideal leader has a background in elevated beverage service as well as high-volume restaurant operations. The Director of Food & Beverage will report directly to the Assistant GM and collaborate closely with each department in the club.
On the Job
Responsible for selection, development and retention of talented food and beverage staff
Ensure financial targets are being met and appropriate accounting procedures are followed including monthly inventory and COGS analysis
Oversee food and beverage operation, providing excellent guest service
Work closely with the Executive Chef to improve the culinary and FOH experience
Review guest and member requests and concerns to determine a plan of action
Create and execute short and long term operational and financial plans for the food and beverage department to improve quality and financial results
Work with the Member Services Manager to execute epicurean dining events that engage the club membership and public guests
Communicate and collaborate effectively between all departments
Ensure compliance with the national programs such as Core Beverage Program, Menu Program, Approved Product List, Beverage Cartender program
Qualifications
A servant's heart mentality and strong team player
Prior experience in food & beverage operations leadership
Detailed focus on the guest experience
Excellent organizational and leadership skills (managing managers)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible schedule including nights, weekends & holidays
Previous experience in hospitality or event management
Sommelier or WSET certification preferred but not required
4-year degree in business, hospitality management or equivalent work experience
