Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Estimator. The Project Estimator will be responsible for cost management, Communication, project estimation, and budgeting for hospitality projects including take-offs, review and interpretation of bid specs/drawings, blueprints, and contract documentation. They will also be responsible for assisting the Procurement team with tracking the progress of projects and reviewing close-out documents
Job Duties
Review Drawings and Specifications in RFP (request for proposal) documents including all Amendments and Notices to understand the Scope of Work of bid projects.
Prepare and submit Request for Information (RFI) questions to the Owner to clarify project requirements in RFP documents.
Maintain and update the vendor and subcontractor list to facilitate quotes for projects.
Communicate and follow up with vendors and subcontractors to solicit quotations and clarify the scope of work, and terms and conditions.
Compare and analyze quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
Lead a part of cost estimation and handle multiple bid projects simultaneously if necessary.
Support awarded construction projects preparing cost estimates for Change Order negotiations.
Analyze changes in the Scope of Work and evaluate additional/reduced costs for a price proposal.
Develop cost estimates based on take-off quantities, requirements in the Specifications, reasonable assumptions, and estimate basis.
Review, interpret, and apply construction plans and specifications to prepare a competitive, informative bid
Solicit competitive vendor pricing, analyze site logistics, and identify areas requiring clarification or exclusion.
Produce material lists and paperwork as requested by construction crews and Project Manager
Review scopes of work, evaluate them for similarities to previous projects, and check for pricing consistency.
Perform post-bid analysis/comparison of their estimates with that of the lowest responsive bidder for design-bid-build projects.

AutoCAD Experience preferred
In-depth knowledge of construction materials and suppliers. preferred
Provide subject matter experts proficient in generating estimates during all phases of capital projects throughout the project life cycle.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience with interpreting engineering and construction drawings utilizing Bid tracking and resource programs and all the established templates required for estimating and communication.
