Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for an Electronics Lab Technician to add to their growing team near Columbus Indiana. You will need to be an all-around support person working in the Lab doing board work and testing, harnessing, surface mounted soldering, BGA soldering and supporting the Engineers.
Responsibilities:
Board level Surface Mount Soldering; small components, resistors, etc
Create board test fixture
Write some scripting for testing and generate report
Work with Multimeters & Oscilloscopes to understand Analog/Digital signals.
Innovate on all things electronics
Perform and automate voltage level pass/fail testing on supplier delivered embedded boards
Understands 12V DC schematics for debugging and building harnessing
Create custom instrumentation solutions and design/build project enclosures
Software coding
Requirements:
AS or BS degree in electronics or electrical a plus.
Understanding of DC Circuits
Able to solder on board level and surface mount soldering.
Works on engines as a hobby or in a past role is a plus
Willing and able to learn new Windows applications tools
Experience with 3D printers is a plus
Embedded design and development skills is a major plus but not necessary
