Our client is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and versatile individual to join their household team as a House Manager. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a calm and relaxed demeanor, and the ability to handle complex tasks efficiently. This role requires someone who can manage household staff, handle billing, manage travel arrangements, and support the needs of a family. This is an on-site position, and you must report to their Brooklyn home daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Assistance:
  • Manage calendars, emails, and task management software (e.g., Trello, Airtable).
  • Handle complex tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Outsource tasks efficiently to optimize time (e.g., delegate travel arrangements to travel agents, assign house tasks to handymen/people).
  • Proficient at party planning.

House Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the household.
  • Hire, manage, and coordinate household staff, including nannies, housekeepers, chefs, and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure all household tasks are completed up to standards promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory of household items like cleaning supplies, soaps, snacks, etc.
  • Handle billing and financial management for various household expenses.
  • Manage maintenance and upkeep of the property.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers.

Family Support:
  • Understand and support the needs of small children, including managing their schedules, classes, schools, and health forms.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating children's activities and events.
  • Fill in for childcare gaps when necessary.

Travel Management:
  • Plan and coordinate all travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries.
  • Ensure travel plans are executed smoothly and efficiently.

Key Qualifications:
  • Organized: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Dependable/Reliable: Consistent attendance, punctuality, and a strong commitment to the role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in computers, calendaring, email, and task management software.
  • Complex Task Management: Ability to handle complex tasks and projects with attention to detail.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in managing and coordinating household staff.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to handle billing and financial management.
  • Child-Friendly: Good with kids and understanding of their needs.
  • Travel Management: Experience in planning and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Calm Demeanor: Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Must have valid drivers license

Salary: $125,000-$140,000 DOE plus full benefits and PTO
