Job Scope:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the performance of the Engineering team, which includes Product Development, Automation, Tooling, and Process Engineering. The Engineering Manager launches new products into production, develops and implements future manufacturing technology, and improves existing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Mentor, train, and develop highly motivated engineers, designers, and technicians. Build a cooperative team environment and a culture of cross-functional support and collaboration.
  • Maintain a deep awareness of the status of engineering projects from a project management and plant-floor perspective. Be present, active, and hands-on. Interact with engineers, technicians, and operators to fully understand project progress and problems.
  • Participate in "Concept to Launch" Strategic Program to drive world-class product development results. Be a reliable, impressive development partner for our customers.
  • The Engineering Manager will help define and implement a best-practice project management system that minimizes the risk of delays and surprises, and maximizes the opportunities to impress our customers and support our engineers.
  • Implement a lean manufacturing philosophy into product launches
  • Coordinate communication and encourage cooperation between engineering, operations, sales, and customers. Communicate with customers' technical teams, projecting a sense of collaboration and technical competence.
  • Meet customer-specific and industry-required quality standards such as ISO, TS 16949, etc.
  • Oversee all functional areas in the group, including product development, tooling, automation, and process engineering. Support and mentor each function to improve the quality and efficiency of work. Establish annual performance goals for the departments and individuals.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Must have experience in rubber and/or plastic molding.
  • Ten years of technical leadership experience.
  • Deep familiarity and experience with modern project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
