The Facility Manager oversees all aspects of recycling facility operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. Reporting to senior management, this role drives operational performance, manages employees, maintains inventory accuracy, and leads continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate with the Regional Safety Engineer and Environmental Manager. Address incidents with Corrective Action Plans.
Operational Management:
Oversee facility operations, ensuring production quotas are met. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with the Commercial Group on monthly production forecasts.
Equipment & Maintenance:
Monitor equipment availability and maintenance schedules to ensure smooth operations.
Inventory & Quality Control:
Maintain accurate material inventories, coordinate material transportation, and enforce quality control standards. Work with Commercial and Sales teams to meet material specs and prevent customer complaints.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Operate within budget constraints and recommend capital expenditures. Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet operational needs.
Team Management:
Oversee staff performance, hiring, and HR compliance. Ensure supervisory practices align with company policies.
Special Projects:
Handle additional projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and operational management skills.
Knowledge of safety, environmental regulations, and quality control.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and team management.
