Remote Opportunity with some Travel to Client site in Baltimore, MD.

Position Overview:

VersaTech is seeking an outstanding individual contributor to work in a team environment with the ability to understand our Social Security Administration (SSA) client business needs and possess knowledge of business cases, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) and other Information Technology (IT) Governance-related disciplines.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience developing relationships with and communicating with multiple levels of IT and business staff. This position is remote with occasional travel to the client site in Baltimore. Salary: $98,000 - $103,000 depending on experience. Discretionary annual bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop in depth knowledge of assigned client business areas and create enduring relationships with federal clients to become a trusted advisor providing ongoing support of Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC)
  • Provide IT investment strategy capabilities and continuously test, refine, and improve existing investment management capabilities, and strengthen the implementation and execution of training through consistent maturation of governance processes.
  • Provide IT Investment Governance and Transformation Support services for the development, but more specifically, the enhancement, of existing VR tools.
  • Support the agency's CPIC process to ensure continued compliance with evolving OMB and agency requirements through the execution of Post Implementation Reviews.
  • Track capital investment business cases such as the performance and quality of operations, resources, project schedule and cost actual results and variance from planned, investment health status, and other factors or indicators
  • Supports the agency's CPIC process for continuous process improvement through reflection of existing processes and identification of opportunities to mature them.
  • Financial analysis of complex budgeting data
  • Support business units in documenting IT project goals, objectives, budgets, business cases and processes in support of IT projects
  • Develop corrective action plans to address issues as needed
  • Provide support for the implementation and documentation of the Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) process

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Capital Planning and Investment (CPIC) experience with federal government agencies.
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis, Project Management, Vendor Management or equivalent experiences
  • 3+ years of process improvement and execution experience
  • Experience in Portfolio Management
  • Experience with Value Realization (VR) and Post Implementation Reviews (PIR)
  • Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM) framework
  • Knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given investment and perform all functional duties independently
  • Ability to effectively work with multiple levels within an organization
  • The ability to determine course of action to solve various problems related to supporting a business case and a client organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience preparing executive briefings and other written materials and presenting at an executive level
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Process Modeling (Microsoft Visio, Workflows, Swim lanes)

Clearance:
  • Active Public Trust, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
