Job Summary: LHH Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Commodity Trader to join our client's team. This role involves sourcing goods and services from international markets to support our client's operations and competitive positioning. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 or more years of global purchasingand/or commodity trading experience from international vendors. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for international markets.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to supply products in accordance with client's requirements.
Negotiate contracts and terms with international suppliers.
Monitor international market trends and supplier performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
Manage the financial aspects of procurement, including budgeting and cost analysis.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding international trade.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commodity trading, sourcing, purchasing or procurement, with a focus on international markets.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP or SAP software.
Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
