Job Description:

Title: Vice President of Finance - Senior Living

Location: Arizona

Package: $175,000 - $225,000 + 30% Quarterly Bonus + Annual Bonus + Standard Benefits

I am currently partnered with a Senior Living Operator and we are looking for a strategic and experienced Finance professional to join the team.

Requirements:
  • Proven Expertise: 5+ years in a senior finance position within the Senior Living or healthcare sectors. Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership Excellence: Strong track record of leading and mentoring high-performing teams to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the senior living landscape, including trends, regulations and market dynamics.

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy in alignment with long-term business goals.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure organizational sustainability and growth.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team for strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular financial performance reviews and provide actionable insights to drive efficiency.

Budgeting & Cost Management
  • Manage the development and execution of budgets across departments, ensuring cost control without compromising service quality.
  • Lead efforts to optimize operational efficiencies and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Monitor and analyse capital expenditures and ensure proper financial allocation to projects.

Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and other relevant financial laws.
  • Lead risk management efforts by identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks.
  • Oversee audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and manage relationships with auditors and financial institutions.

Revenue Cycle & Cash Flow Management
  • Optimize the organization's revenue cycle by overseeing billing, collections, and payment processes.
  • Ensure healthy cash flow and liquidity management to support day-to-day operations and growth initiatives.

Investment & Capital Planning
  • Lead efforts to evaluate and manage capital investment opportunities to drive growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with the executive team on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures where applicable.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and mission.
  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance.

Collaboration with Operations
  • Work closely with senior living operations to balance financial goals with quality care and services.
  • Partner with department heads to provide financial guidance and ensure sound financial decision-making at all levels.

Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the primary financial spokesperson, communicating financial performance and strategy to the Board of Directors, investors and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors and financial partners.
