WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Lead and own all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
Provide oversite over company's accounting operations, including producing periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and company budget
Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure
Assist with future investor requirements and relations
Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives
Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments
Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regards to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts
Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans of organization
Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion
Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations
Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risk
Manage both the IT and Accounting Vendor relationships
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
8+ years total finance and/or accounting experience
Prior experience in professional services, such as Marketing, Law, and/or Public Accounting / Management Consulting
Understanding of project costing and WIP
Fundamental knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence - ability to motivate staff
Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
