WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Lead and own all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Provide oversite over company's accounting operations, including producing periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and company budget
  • Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure
  • Assist with future investor requirements and relations
  • Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives
  • Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments
  • Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regards to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts
  • Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans of organization
  • Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations
  • Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risk
  • Manage both the IT and Accounting Vendor relationships

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ years total finance and/or accounting experience
  • Prior experience in professional services, such as Marketing, Law, and/or Public Accounting / Management Consulting
  • Understanding of project costing and WIP
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence - ability to motivate staff
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
