Job Description:

This role combines commercial strategy + financial knowhow.

The ideal candidate will be able to build out the commercial model, conduct customer and stakeholder engagement, and contribute to project financing efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The company is seeking someone with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a background in finance or a related field.

  • Climate Space Familiarity: The candidate should have a basic understanding of the climate space, particularly carbon capture and storage (CCS). Direct experience in CCS or maritime is not required.

  • Strategic Thinking and Research: The candidate must be able to conduct thorough research and analysis to develop geographical case studies. This includes identifying potential CO2 sequestration sites, target customers (e.g., Shell, Exelon, cement producers, oil and gas companies), and relevant stakeholders.

  • Commercial Acumen: The candidate should possess a strong understanding of commercial development, including financial modeling, market analysis, and project financing. Experience with PPAs and supply chain analysis is a plus.

  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as the candidate will be responsible for creating compelling decks and marketing videos to showcase the company's value proposition.

  • Project Management: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines is crucial. The candidate should be able to complete a comprehensive case study within three months.

  • Location: Preference will be given to candidates based in Los Angeles or Houston.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify suitable CO2 sequestration sites and potential customers for carbon utilization and storage.
  • Develop detailed geographical case studies outlining the commercial viability of CCS projects in specific regions.
  • Create compelling marketing materials, including pitch decks and videos, to attract investors and customers.
  • Support project financing efforts by conducting financial modeling and analysis.
  • Contribute to the company's overall commercialization strategy.
