Keaton's Child Cancer Alliance provides emotional, educational, and financial support to children with cancer and members of their families. In partnership with hospitals throughout northern California, we deliver a unique and personalized level of care to people whose lives are forever changed. Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Programs Director to join our team. The Programs Director will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and services offered by Keaton's Child Cancer Alliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for helping families affected by pediatric cancer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and services.
  • Supervise program staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with hospitals, healthcare providers, and other community organizations.
  • Oversee the development of program materials, resources, and communications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of family interactions, teen programs, and services provided.
  • Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and family feedback.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, using data to drive improvements.
  • Content organizer for monthly Thriving Together newsletter.
  • Share content for private Facebook group - Caregivers Connect.
  • Represent KCCA at community events, health fairs, and other outreach activities to raise awareness about childhood cancer and available support services.
  • Provide direct support to families as needed, ensuring they have access to the resources and services they need.
  • Communicate with families for photos/videos for social media, campaigns, and other outreach opportunities.
  • Create a minimum of two social posts each month (i.e., kiddo blogs, event highlights, milestone posts, newsletter content, and campaign content to share Keaton's Mission in Motion.
  • Assist in coordinating core family events, subprogram events, and general program opportunities (i.e.
  • Offer flexibility with working hours to establish community presence through presentations, outreach events, and Keaton's events.
  • Commitment to working 36 hours per week.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, nonprofit management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with budget management and grant writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
  • Passion for the mission of Keaton's Child Cancer Alliance and a deep commitment to supporting families affected by pediatric cancer.

In addition, KCCA collaborates with over 230 businesses and organizations as Alliance Partners in fulfilling the organization's mission.

With the increased demands for these vital services throughout Northern California, Keaton's will play a fundamental role in programmatic development, service delivery, resource sharing, and workforce development.
