Work directly for a Somerset County NJ area Construction Firm. The ideal candidate will have 9-10 years of experience managing large construction projects and will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent, Project Managers and other team members to deliver high-quality projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent in managing and overseeing large-scale construction projects from start to finish
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines
- Coordinate daily activities and ensure all site operations are conducted in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers
- Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards
- Assist in budgeting and cost control measures
- Utilize construction management software such as HH2
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Utilize Ohmmeter for electrical testing as needed
- Support the Superintendent in all aspects of project management
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 9-10 years of experience in construction management.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods
- Knowledge of contract management and budgeting processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications
- Understanding of OSHA regulations for maintaining a safe work environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple task simultaneously
