Job Description:

Overview/Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager based out of our Raleigh office, you will act as an Owner's Representative to oversee the design and construction of a variety of large scale project types including pharmaceutical manufacturing, higher education and real estate investment trusts. The projects will be in various stages, including entitlements, design and construction, all ranging in various complexities with total project costs of $75 Million to $500+ Million.

The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams; be responsible for leading the successful design and construction performance, development and management of the project budget and the project schedule while mitigating risk to implementing strategic and tactical schedule and budget initiatives; ensure compliance to quality and regulatory requirements; direct all consultants, including but not limited to architects, engineers, furniture, major equipment, and IT from design through construction to move-in. The Senior Project Manager will be required to communicate and collaborate with client executive leadership and designated client staff in the decision-making processes regarding entitlements, design and construction as well as mentor all team members and staff to foster a highly collaborative and high performing team environment. Candidate will be required to travel to sites regularly within 45 min of our Raleigh office.

Qualifications and Skills
  • 10 years minimum similar experience
  • 5 years minimum managing large scale construction projects as an Owner's Representative/Project Manager or Construction Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in building construction, engineering, architecture, facilities management or similar
  • Exceptional technical and project management skills
  • Ability to ensure that all project objectives are achieved
  • Capability to manage competing demands on multiple client projects simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize and handle challenges on an independent basis
  • Life science and healthcare experience a plus
  • MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) subject matter expertise a plus
  • LEED accreditation, Passive-House or other energy and sustainability experience a plus
