I am partnered with one of the fastest growing data center owners/developers in the US looking to expand their Preconstruction team in Chicago.
Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, you will be assisting with Precon efforts for multiple hyperscale projects throughout the US with endless career progression opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather necessary project documents to prepare estimates.
Read drawings, project specifications, and other relevant documents to create estimates.
Determine labor, materials, and time requirements with a high level of detail.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure estimate accuracy.
Source and collect quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Support the bidding process for construction projects by preparing conceptual, lump sum, and GMP estimates, as well as project proposals and subcontractor bid solicitations.
Assist in managing the subcontractor solicitation process.
Develop and maintain strong subcontractor relationships.
Help prepare and analyze subcontractor bids.
Review project schedules and assist in preparing General Conditions.
Aid in the final assembly of estimates for presentation to the owner.
