We have worked with our current client for the past 9 years and they are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Specialist for a possible Contract to Hire opportunity in their Romulus, Mi. location.
Customs Clearance Specialist Responsibilities:
Examining documentation and preparing customs release entries for processing
Managing and resolving challenging situations while upholding top-notch service for all customers
Assisting in ensuring accurate and timely release, classification, and billing of all entries
Interacting with clients to clear shipments, finalize entries, offer updates, and resolve paperwork and customs hold issues
Addressing general inquiries in a professional manner (both internally and externally) via phone, in person, or email
Performing other necessary tasks
8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday $19-$23/hr
Customs Clearance Specialist Skills Needed:Prior experience in customs entry release
Knowledge of processing entries through various transportation modes (road, rail, air, sea)
Emphasis on customer service
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Capacity to handle high workloads and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently
Quick learning ability and eagerness to acquire new skills
Capability to multitask
Excellent communication abilities.
Possession of Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation or Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is beneficial
