Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Chicken n Pickle is responsible for maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability, service metrics, property, and quality goals. The AGM ensures efficient restaurant operations and maintains production goals, productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer-service standards. Success in this role requires the ability to remain calm in a high-volume environment, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a willingness to learn various restaurant systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee staffing levels and Cost of Goods.
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, liquor requirements, and quality standards.
  • Drive for financial accountability and manage financial aspects of the restaurant.
  • Maintain extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with an understanding of ingredients and dishes in a restaurant or catering organization.
  • Utilize restaurant management software, including HotSchedules, Point of Sale, and accounting software.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of full-service, high-volume management experience.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, liquor requirements, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of and drive for financial accountability.
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, such as HotSchedules, Point of Sale, and accounting software.
  • Acute financial management skills.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
