Team Overview:
We are seeking an experienced people leader to join our team in Third Party Risk Management (TPRM). This is part of Edward Jones' (EDJ) Sourcing organization and manages the risks associated with EDJ's use of and reliance upon Third Party relationships across all business lines.
The Sr. Manager leads the TPRM team and is responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining a Third Party Risk Management program. This role regularly interacts with Senior Leaders (e.g., Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Privacy Officer, Legal, Chief Risk Officer) and stakeholders firm-wide to discuss opportunities, strategic vision, roadmap, risk concerns and efficiency opportunities. The Sr. Manager is responsible for managing a team of risk professionals who are responsible for program execution.
What You Will Do:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies, standards, and governance frameworks for the Enterprise Third Party Risk Management Program which align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Lead and develop a team of TPRM professionals through a strong vision, empathy, and delegated authority aimed at consistently delivering timely and quality-driven results.
Lead the review and update of policies and standards in response to evolving risks, threats, and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional and 2nd Line of Defense stakeholders across the firm to develop and implement Third Party Risk Management program initiatives.
Manage and maintain the TPRM program governance framework, including risk assessments, audits, and reporting.
Monitor and report on TPRM program performance metrics and compliance trends.
Provide ongoing guidance and support to Business stakeholders on Third Party Risk Management policy and interpretation and application.
What Experience You Need:
BS/BA degree (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in Finance or specific field of related specialization
Experience leading teams focused on third-party performance and risk management
Experience with technology and tools that drive risk evaluation and tracks risks at the firm level
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You Need:
Past experience illustrating increasing responsibilities, including people leadership
Ability to interact with C-Suite executives within Edward Jones and third parties
Strong negotiation, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate financial and risk implications to drive decision making and alignment
Proven track record of developing and implementing effective policies, standards, and governance frameworks
Strong understanding of relevant industry best practices and regulatory requirements for Third Party Risk Management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated track record of applying independent judgement and driving decision making
Strong business partnering skills
Strategic thinking: Providing thought leadership in complex, ambiguous situations to deliver change in support of strategic vision
Systems thinking: Ability to understand broader implications of decisions that lead to proactive identification to drive improvements and support of future state

Certification or Advanced Degree
11-14 years experience in Finance or specific field of related specialization
Experience in risk management, risk mitigation and/or risk assessment within the financial services industry
Please note: Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
