Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst (Pricing) to join our team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the pricing strategies and providing key insights into our insurance product offerings. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and well-versed in actuarial practices, with specific experience in pricing and/or reserving.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain actuarial pricing models, including rate reviews, and implement adjustments based on market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, finance, and product management to support insurance pricing and reserving strategies.
  • Analyze historical data to forecast future risks, premiums, and losses, while supporting profitability and competitive positioning.
  • Provide technical support for product development, pricing decisions, and business strategies.
  • Present and communicate complex actuarial analyses and pricing recommendations to stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to ensure pricing models are competitive.

The Skills You Bring:
  • ACAS or near ACAS preferred; 5 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams required.
  • 4+ years of experience in actuarial roles, preferably with exposure to advanced ratemaking or reserving.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex concepts to non-actuarial professionals.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in SQL, SAS, and R for data analysis and model development.
  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

Skills and Certifications:
  • ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) certification or near completion required.
  • 4+ years of experience in actuarial roles, preferably with a focus on pricing.
  • Programming skills in SQL/SAS/R.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or finance.
  • 5 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams.
