Position Overview The Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of water and wastewater projects, from design to implementation. This role will require a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on water and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will possess a PE license and have experience in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater projects
Collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals to develop project plans and specifications
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and other project documents
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to provide updates and address any issues that may arise
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff
Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the water and wastewater field
Qualifications
Valid PE license
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater systems
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes
Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
