Assistant Superintendent - Apartments Position Overview We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team and assist with the construction of multi-unit residential and commercial buildings. The successful candidate will support the Superintendent in managing sub-contractors, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that projects are completed on-time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Superintendent in managing all aspects of the construction process, including coordinating schedules, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Review project plans and specifications, and ensure that all work is completed in accordance with these documents.
Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, photographs, and weekly reports.
Communicate with the project team, including architects, engineers, and sub-contractors, to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
Assist with the resolution of any issues that arise during construction, and work with the Superintendent to ensure that projects are completed on-time and within budget.
Qualifications
Previous experience in construction, ideally in multi-unit residential or commercial building projects.
Experience working as an Assistant Superintendent will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Valid driver's license is required.
