Position Overview The Superintendent for Healthcare Projects will be responsible for overseeing the construction processes of healthcare facilities, including new construction and renovations. This individual will utilize their expertise in construction and understanding of healthcare standards to ensure that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to determine project scope, timelines, and budget
Organize and manage all construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and material procurement.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and standards.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring quality work and adherence to project timelines.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are being met.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project plans are executed accurately.
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.- Train and mentor construction personnel to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in healthcare projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA and ADA.
Proven experience managing construction projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Nice to have skills: experience in medical or clinic construction, familiarity with healthcare equipment and technology.
