Estimator - Reconstruction (Multi-Family / HOA Exterior) We are a rapidly growing contractor in Orange County focused on Exterior Envelope Reconstruction of mostly Multi-Family buildings.
Pay for this role is between 140k-175k, depending on experience. We also have a lucrative bonus system, average of ~30k per quarter in incentives that are paid out regardless on what is delivered after bid.
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in overseeing bids for reconstruction projects on multi-family buildings. This role will require experience working on Apartment building exterior, working with owners, litigation experience (optional), and communication skills to ensure timely and successful completion of each bid. Key Responsibilities
Visit construction sites to obtain necessary client requirement information
Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole
Work closely with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects
Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers
Provide accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Estimating for multi-family reconstruction projects
Strong understanding of reconstruction processes and techniques
Experience with exterior envelope construction
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to bid on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
