Position Overview A Project Manager - Heavy Civil is responsible for overseeing all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, including road and bridge construction, mining, site work, and horizontal construction. They will work closely with the project team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction and experience using Primavera and HCSS software.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all safety and quality standards
Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met
Review and approve project invoices, change orders, and other project documentation
Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Provide leadership and guidance to project team members
Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in Heavy Civil Construction
Strong knowledge of road and bridge construction, mining, site work, and horizontal construction
Proficiency in Primavera and HCSS software
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and leadership skills
Certification in project management (PMP) (preferred)
