Position Overview: The Audit Manager is responsible for providing effective assurance services over a variety of audit engagements, financial statement review and employee benefit plan audits in accordance with professional standards. The Audit Manager will also provide leadership to staff and Senior auditors while contributing to the overall growth of the firm.Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and manage audit engagements for clients in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
Lead audit engagements and review staff work papers
Prepare and review financial statement and provide technical support to staff and clients
Prepare audit reports, management letters, and other related documents
Monitor the progress of the audit engagements to ensure timely completion within the budgeted hours
Develop audit plans, budgets, and timelines
Review audit findings with the client and audit team
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and standards
Perform research on technical accounting and audit matters
Maintain client relationships and provide quality customer service
Develop and mentor staff to ensure professional growth and development
Qualifications:
CPA license
Advanced knowledge of auditing, accounting concepts, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Proficiency in CCH Axcess or a similar accounting software
Proficiency in budgeting and financial statement preparation
Experience in auditing non-profit and/or employee benefit plan (EBP) audits, including 401K
Five or more years of experience as an Audit Manager or Assurance Manager
Demonstrated ability to review, manage, and lead audit engagements and staff
Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills
