Position Overview: The BIM Lead will lead a team of electrical engineers in creating and managing 3D designs and building information models for the firms MEP projects. This person will ensure the firm provides creative solutions for our clients and their projects. This role collaborates with the BIM Department Manager to mentor the designers and engineers in the firm in aspects related to drawing production to ensure we continue to excel at a very high level of project design.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure application of design standards in all current platforms (including Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, NavisWorks, and Bluebeam)
Develop and maintain design standards, procedures, and best practices for the team.
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project deliverables are met, utilizing Deliverable Checklists, and informing QA timing for MEPT
Complete project archiving procedures at milestone submittals
Drive continuous improvement, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization
Facilitate collision prevention in Revit models
Qualifications
Experience with BIM, AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D design systems.
MEP experience
Lead/Management experience
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
